DJ, Producer and Songwriter Brand Blank aka Johannes Bürmann has studied musicology at the University of Giessen/Germany, then in early 2009 applied as an intern and tea-boy at Mozart & Friends Studios.

He quickly got promoted into the role of Marc Mozart's assistant from where he got into writing and remix-work. Around the same time he put together a DJ-set based around a lot of his own remixes along the lines of Electro and Dubstep. He is also creating Club-tracks in his very own distinctive sound between Dance, Electro and Dubstep. One of them, "Take me away" released under the name Burman feat. Jessica Jean, became a notible digital download hit and was featured on more than a dozen digital compilations.

During the last 12 months, Brand Blank worked on official remixes for artists like DMX (official remix-album "Greatest Hits with a twist"), Blue (Mozart & Friends Radiomix of hit-single "I can", gained notible airplay in Germany), The Specials (Brand Blank Dubstep Remix of "Ghost Town"), Vanilla Ice, Toots and the Maytals, Jagged Edge, and many more.

Brand Blank is also actively co-writing songs between the genres of Pop, Dance, Electro and Dubstep. He co-wrote tracks with A-list writers of the Mozart & Friends team, like Alfred Tuohey and Mimoza Blinsson, but also known hit-makers like Dan Priddy of Mannequin (writer of Jedward's hit-single "Lipstick").
